Also, not all of the skin cancers fall in the category of less serious types like basal cell type or squamous cell type. Mind this- these can also be potentially serious and deadly for you. But being a serious believer in the philosophy of prevention being better than cure, it is always better to avoid the risk in the first place than repent about it later.
